About Tammy Pritchard
WSI PBG VP Federal Sales
Tammy Pritchard launched her pharmaceutical career after completing her graduate work in Microbiology and Secondary Education at the State University of Plattsburgh New York. While there she also participated and excelled at intercollegiate Track &Field and worked part-time to finance her college studies.
Cutting her teeth on sales with the Upjohn company, she sold into the antibiotic, diabetes, mental health care markets. During this time, she studied and volunteered as a Hospice Volunteer in Binghamton, NY. From there Tammy moved into Hospital sales and sales management in the New York City districts selling oncology and women’s healthcare products. She also served for a short time as a Regional Account Manager before moving into her first Federal Account Management role with Pharmacia/Upjohn in 1996.
After moving to the Cleveland, OH area Tammy promoted oncology, glaucoma, and women’s health products in VISN 10 (and formerly VISN 11) VAMCs and DoD accounts. During that time, she generated a proposal for initiating a VA specific tumor conference and presented it to the Chief of Medicine and Oncology chief at the Cleveland VAMC. The conferences took flight and continue to be a robust component of that facility’s cancer care program to this day.
As the Pharmacia Federal Team grew and scope, Tammy was promoted into a National Project Manager role. Projects included work with the VA Spinal Cord Injury services and support of Disabled American Veterans, the National Association of VA Optometrists, and initiation of the first ever Association of VA Surgeons annual meeting pre-Symposium, and subsequent first-ever American Journal of Surgery supplement publication.
Tammy transitioned from Pharmacia to become one of WSI’s new Federal Account Managers selling a portfolio of branded therapies for client companies promoting products in the vascular and oncology arenas. A highlight of her career is her role in the founding of AVAHO, the Association of VA Hematology/Oncology in 2005. The organization began with 35 members, is now 800 members strong, and growing strong.
Tammy has served WSI for the past 18 years in the roles of Federal Account Management, Federal Team Director, and her current responsibility as VP of Federal Sales. Here she oversees the successful implementation of client deliverables by the talented WSI sales teams.
